53rd Anniversary of The Bay of Pigs

Today is the 53rd anniversary of the start of the Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba. Although the invasion in Cuba was a failure, many of the Cuban-exiles who fought at the Bay of Pigs went on to be hired by the CIA to fight Communism in the Congo in the mid-1960's. The CIA still views the Congo operation as one of the most successful CIA operations to date.
